SFIA is a tool which allows businesses to define and categorise IT skills consistently. This makes it easier to describe and grade IT job roles, to accurately assess training needs for IT staff and to recruit people with the right skills and knowledge for specific IT roles.

SFIA Skills Assessments – our wide range of online SFIA Skill Assessments will help you to identify gaps in skills and knowledge amongst your existing IT professionals, or to assess the skills and knowledge of candidates during recruitment exercises. You can choose from our large existing range of generic assessments or we can create custom ones for you that meet the unique job roles that exist in your organisation.
SFIA Self Assessments – these are ideal if you are an individual who wants to reflect SFIA on your CV, or if you work for a business which needs a quick, small scale and cost-effective means to appraise employees against the SFIA Framework. They will also help you to update job descriptions using the SFIA Framework as a benchmark, or create them from scratch. The Self Assessments can be used to check your SFIA level, and the skills codes that are reflected in your role, in one sitting through the use of ‘adaptive’ questioning, which means that how you answer one question will determine how the next question is framed. The Self Assessments rely on you answering questions honestly in order to lead to an accurate and realistic outcome.
SFIA Job Evaluations – through our consultancy services and for the most accurate and in-depth assessment of staff job roles, we offer evaluations conducted with individual staff members on a one-to-one basis, leading to a detailed report to help ensure you implement SFIA with perfect clarity and purpose.
SFIA Consultancy – pick and mix your way to success with SFIA by selecting from any of our consultancy components – from a single mapped job role to a complete organisation-wide SFIA implementation plan and delivery of that plan. We also run occasional training days at public locations around the UK for small businesses or individuals wishing to gain a better understanding of SFIA.
